ABOUT OUR CLINICAL DIRECTOR

Our Clinical Director, and founder is a Bahamian, Carla Gibson. Ms. Gibson's love for students and adults with special needs began in 2007 when she began volunteering at a self-contained special education school in The Bahamas. Since then, her love for those in this community has only grown and turned into a passion.

Ms.Gibson received her bachelors degree in Special Education (Adapted Curriculum) from the University of Georgia in 2013, and received her masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University in 2016. She has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2016. She started R.O.C to meet the needs of those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families in the community. Her primary role at R.O.C is Clinical Director.

ABOUT R.O.C.

The mission of R.O.C is to educate and empower those with special needs, their families and the surrounding community.

R.O.C combines the principles of ABA along with the Comprehensive Application of Behavior Analysis to Schooling (CABAS) model.

We offer in-home, center-based and school-based one-on-one intensive ABA therapy. Our services are research based, data driven, and individualized. We also offer small group settings where the CABAS model is employed. This means that clients receive the best of both worlds in which they are able to acquire the social and independent functional skills, while having the opportunity to practice these skills in group settings.

Generalization and maintenance is a major goal of ABA that sometimes slips under the radar. At R.O.C, we aim to fill that gap by having clients practice their newly acquired skills in multiple settings with others with and without disabilities.

Circa 1996. Our Clinical Director with her cousin LJ, who inspired the start to her career.
